Dear Colleagues and Friends,
These turbulent times remind us of the value of joint efforts to make a difference. The European Federation of Ultrasound Societies in Medicine and Biology - EFSUMB - has been recognised in the wide spectrum of the world ultrasound communities since its foundation 50 years ago. The EUROSON congress represents the hallmark of our organisation, comprised of an extensive network of innovative minds, illustrating the latest breakthroughs in clinical, scientific, and creative aspects of ultrasound, offering discussions, joint sessions, workshops, state-of-the-art performances, and in collaboration with industry, displaying the future of ultrasound.

Artificial intelligence in ultrasound
How can ultrasound be enhanced by artificial intelligence? AI can automate measurements and screenshot-taking a well as aid in reporting findings using different algorithms and classifications. It can also enhance image quality, creating detailed ultrasound scans that are easier to read. Let’s find out the trends in the AI field for ultrasound.
Is multiparametric ultrasound the new standard of scanning? Multiparametric ultrasound includes a combination of a wide range of available modalities. It can be used to differentiate focal lesions in superficial and abdominal applications and provides a comprehensive approach. It has proven to be comparable to cross-sectional imaging methods.
Point-of-care ultrasonography (POCUS) is an evolving outpatient, inpatient, and urgent care diagnostic tool. Widespread use of POCUS is limited by the training required to gain and maintain skills. Let’s discuss what the future holds for a new quality standard of care through proper documentation, archiving and performance of novel technologies.
