When Riga Central Market was first opened on 1930 it was the largest and the most progressive marketplace in Europe. Experience one of the fastest Olympic sports by riding a bobsleigh! The history of this sport in Sigulda began in the 19th century. The track was built in 1986 and is 1200+220m long.
The average driving speed in a winter bob is ~100km/h. Accompanied by a professional pilot, soar down the luge and bobsleigh track Sigulda, twisting and turning around 16 turns, traveling at speeds up to 80km/h. These will be 60 seconds you talk about for the rest of your life! By the way, this is the home track for the four-time World Champion in skeleton Martins Dukurs! There is also a magnificent view on the surrounding landscape from the starting point.
