Welcome to the National Library of Latvia – the “hard drive” of Latvia, the place where almost all the knowledge acquired by us is being stored and shared throughout generations and with the rest of the world.
This special building is also known as the Castle of Light (Latvian: Gaismas pils), designed by internationally the most reknown Latvian architect Gunars Birkerts.
